DRMI's HOLIDAY FOCUS
Providing a hand where needed!DRMI was honored to offer a helping hand this holiday season.
MEET THE HUEWITT/BANKS FAMILY Headed by super mom, Leila Huewitt, this dynamic family includes Nyla (16), Aeryana (15), Giovanni (14), Kassidy (12) and Eli (11) Banks. Exemplifying the spirit of unity, they have persevered through insurmountable odds and continue to excel in maintaining their direction and achieving their goals. This family is part of the Geeks & Gramps family and have volunteered with many other programs in our community. Mom Leila says about her family: We are trendsetting and inventive. I hope to start a nonprofit where teens and youth chosen can learn to be conscious and caregiving (even apart from devices)! We have settled into entrepreneurship as a happy place for stewards of creativity, so we are learning to begin managing, and charity awaits seniors and youth who need help or hope, feeling worth time and tutelage concerning life journeys they are to face still yet. I have a disability that impacts physical momentum from my hands and feet irregularly, yet, we are tremendously focused and win what we put our heads and heart to, so journeying with us will not leave you stranded nor wanting - we hope to Deliver! |
Adhering to our mission to help all people live more enriching lives, collaboration is part of DRMI's strategic planning efforts. We were excited to partner with another dynamic community organization, Consulting Together Community Outreach, to help those in the unsheltered community during this winter season by giving away backpacks, blankets and food at a pop-up distribution on 12/22/23 in the historic Frenchtown neighborhood.
