In 2025, Divine Revelations Ministries, Inc. implemented the Nurturing Parenting Program® (NPP) at the Leon County Detention Center, delivering evidence-based parenting education that strengthens emotional awareness, healthy relationships, and family reunification. Led by Executive Director Bernice McMillan—who met and trained directly with NPP founder Dr. Stephen Bavolek in Upstate New York—this work reflects decades of experience facilitating NPP across diverse populations and advancing culturally responsive parenting support for families impacted by incarceration.  DRMI also introduced the Breaking the Chains-Turning Pain into Purpose (trauma-informed care) workshop at LCDF. Breaking the Chains is a 6-week workshop series offered at the Leon County Detention Facility (LCDF) that helps participants understand trauma, rebuild their sense of self, and strengthen emotional wellness. Using the S.E.L.F. model--Safety, Emotions, Loss, and Future—(introduced by Dr. Sandra Bloom), the framework provides practical tools and guided reflection to support personal growth, resilience, and preparation for life beyond incarceration.
