Program overview
What participants can expect
Control the Fire is a structured anger and emotional-management curriculum developed by DRMI co-founders Mark and Bernice McMillan. It treats anger as a signal to understand—not an identity—and helps participants recognize root causes, interrupt harmful reactions, and choose healthier responses.
The whole-person program combines evidence-informed strategies, guided reflection, group discussion, and practical activities. It is designed for community participants, court-ordered clients, people in correctional settings, and returning citizens, with secular, faith-based, and gender-responsive options available.
